Ashley grew up in Minnesota, swimming competitively for her local club team and high school team, competing at the national level and earning All-American honors.
She finished her undergrad and pool career at the University of Hawaii, Manoa where she was a conference finalist while earning a degree in communications.
This will be Ashley's fourth season coaching with BC Endurance. She has also coached at the club and high school levels.
She loves competing in open water swim races and sharing her love of the sport and technique with others.
She is currently finishing her Masters' degree in Learning Design and Technology at UH.
Kaya was born and raised on Oahu and began swimming competitively in 4th grade.
He swam and played water polo throughout high school for Punahou, while also building his love for the ocean through surfing and swimming.
During his competitive pool swimming days he also began to compete in the NSSS and has been racing in the series for almost 20 years.
Kaya completed a BS in Chemistry at UH Manoa.
This will be Kaya's third season as head swim coach for BC Endurance. He’s committed to conveying the knowledge and confidence necessary to master Oahu's ocean waters.
Grew up swimming competitively in both pool and ocean from the age of 5 on the Big Island.
Liz participated in the Junior Lifeguard program and twice went to the high school Big Island Interscholastic Federation championships.
She has been a participant in the BC Endurance Swim Training and continues to swim the NSSS on Oahu.
Has a cat named Yo-Yo.
Grew up on the North Shore of Oahu. He is a life long surfer and waterman. A lover of open ocean swimming, Tyrone has competed in the NSSS and coached for the BC Endurance Swim Training for two years.
