Monday November 28, 2022
Where: Meet at Magic Island Lagoon behind the lifeguard stand
When: Meet at 4:45 p.m., workout begins at 5:00 p.m.
What to bring: run gear and swim gear
Workout:
*last week of training we will be preparing for the Magic Island Biathlon
- We’ll start with a 10 min warm up run
- Then do on full lap around Magic Island (roughly 0.5 mi) quickly followed by tow laps down and back from the diamond head end of the lagoon
- Short circuit of run swims to finish the training out
Wednesday November 30th, 2022
Where: Meet at Ala Moana Beachpark by diamond head bathrooms
When: Meet at 4:45 p.m., workout begins at 5:00 p.m.
What to bring: run gear and swim gear
Workout:
Half Biathlon:
- 1.5mi run/walk 500m swim at an easy pace.
- We just want to get used to and practice on the course for Saturday’s race
Thursday December 1st, 2022
Where:Meet at Lagoon Drive (End Parking Lot)
When: Meet at 5 pm,
What to bring: Bike gear
Workout:
Bike: 3-4 out and back loops easy

Christmas Biathlon-no practice
Necessary Equipment
Goggles. Good reliable or tested goggles that don’t fog up or leak are a must have for ocean swimming.
Swim Cap. A bright colored cloth, latex or silicone swim will be required for safety reasons while swimming.
Shoes. Good running or walking shoes are a must have. Light weight (thin) sox
that hold their form (don’t bunch up).
Bike. A safe, operating road or triathlon bike is recommended although all types and styles of bikes are welcome.
Helmet. A helmet is a must have while riding your bike. All participants will be required to bring and wear their own helmet during training sessions.
Flashlight. A bright, light-weight flashlight for walking or jogging in the dark. Not a must-have, unless you are afraid of tripping and falling.
A fanny pack for carrying stuff: I.D., money, ear buds, face mask, pen and paper, etc.
Warm clothes you can layer if the weather turns blustery: light weight pants, long sleeve t-shirt, windbreaker, and a hat.
Safety gear: light weight reflective vest. Small flashing/blinking lights for biking.
Sun glasses. May be useful for biking and/or running.
