Kupuna (Senior) Fitness
A supportive training group for seniors who want to increase their fitness and longevity
The Program
This program is designed for non-athletes who need group support to get fit and stay healthy. It will also rebuild confidence if you are afraid of falling or training on uneven, unpredictable outdoor terrain.
Who This is For
Workouts in ability groups are appropriate for baby boomers, seniors, retirees, and people who range from basically fit to those who are moderately movement challenged.
Workouts
Each walking workout session includes 20-to-50 minutes of slow walking in a group or with a buddy, including two gentle movement stretching routines (standing and on-the-ground).
Benefits
You’ll feel energized and invigorated after the workout. You’ll sleep better that night, and you’ll lower your risk of dementia and other chronic diseases.
Schedule and Location
Beginning in September 2025, we’ve met on Monday and Wednesday evenings (5:30-7:00 p.m.) at the same locations in Honolulu as the BC Endurance marathoners. Please consult our calendar for exact details.
