Thank you again for this experience (the Hapalua Half-marathon Training, Spring 2022) as I am finding joy again in running.

When I did races in the past I pushed myself well beyond tolerable discomfort.  In training for the Kauai virtual half-marathon in 2020, for instance, I overdid it and had to take a long break from training.

Thanks also for the tips on running downhill as I have suffered knee injuries (IT band, patella) using a forefoot strike going downhill, especially on longer runs up and down Tantalus/Roundtop.

Again, mahalo nui for all that you do.  I am learning so much from you and everyone else in this group!
